Stationary

I need to buy me some new stationary and some nice new pens for writing. Next year at uni my notes are gonna look amazing. Need to find more reasons to hand write things. Love the feeling of writing a massive amount of text, even if its utter rubbish most of the time.

Blue pens are lovely when they are exactly the write shade of blue. Needs a be a dark navy blue nothing too bright otherwise it just looks like kids playing with gel pens.

And gel is always better than ball point, unless said gel is too runny and it smudges.

I just realised how weird i am....

1) Middle Name

My middle name is Victoria which was going to be my first name but my mum and dad decided against it cause they didn't want people calling my Vicky. I was named after the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow where my mum used to work. I don't really mind my middle name but i'm never sure whether or not to put it on forms for things.

Simple things.

At uni i have developed the habit of paying for things in exact change down to coppers until i have no money left in my purse. Breaking notes is not an option.

Guinea

This is the as of yet still unnamed guinea pig. I think he looks like a Jeff or a Rodney. He is a pie i think i could quite happily live in his foodbowl.
He is a complete wimp and loves hiding out under the shelf.
Still havent managed to catch him yet cause i feel really mean as his natural instinct is to run away.
He is really rather messy
He doesnt like the noise of my bedsheets rustling cause i can hear him run away every time i roll over
He does squeak from time to time
Hes currently under his shelf doing interior design from the sounds of things. Noisy wee thing.

Gonna spam my blogger something awful....

How good is your eyesight =p

Tangled

Had a wee girls day in this afternoon and watched this and omg it was so good. Pascal is such a cute yet tough wee thing

Naughty little amazon splurge

Bought a new book for my kindle, starting to collect them so i have stuff to read when i go away. Bought a Gena Showalter book called darkest secret which was *gasp* a pound cheaper on kindle than it was as a paperback. The seventh book i think in the series ive been reading but the cover arts changed a bit so not too bothered about not getting it in print.

Bought two new kresley cole books (in print) because ive started back at the beginning of the series and im now reading it in order so i might understand the basic plot a little better this time round.

DVD wise bought another couple that were recommended to me so thought id try them out :

Wristcutters - A love story
Stranger than Fiction
Lars and the real girl
I love you philip morris

Gonna be keeping myself busy with that lot but its been a while and ive missed amazon!!

higfgutjg !!!!

If id known these beauties were in the box under my bed all that time they would not have lasted this long.

Pancakes

If someone brought me these right now i would actually cry tears of joy. So gonna make these for breakfast tomorrow.

Seven

One of the films on IMDB's top 200 films so i bought it from amazon and watching it at the moment. It was a tough call cause zodiac was on telly which sounded kinda interesting but the picture quality was rubbish cause it was on actual telly so gave up and thought id try this instead.

Childhood

Got my ps1, yes a real honest to god ps1 that still works, hooked up to the TV in the back bedroom and i've found myself playing crash bandicoot a lot the last week or so. Wish they still made games like this.

Too true

Technical turmoil

Going to need to spend a bit of time and sort out all the computer related rubbish ive been accumulating. Blogging has been bad for my picture folder on my computer there is so much junk that was used in blog number 3 and never looked at again. Therefore since my blogs show up in order newest first if you read something think this sounds familiar then its probably cause its been posted before and i just cant remember.

I need this back in my life

Songs!

Been listening to a lot of Eurovision recently got a bit of addiction to two of the songs by the German entry Lena - Satellite and Taken by a Stranger.

tiny stationary !!

Its all small and cute.

Major shopping splurgage for holibags.

In quite a floaty creamy t-shirt mood today evidently

These are stupidly comfy so will be worn constantly even though they match nothing. Was gonna try get the same ones in white cause they fold up fairly flat so shouldnt take up too much space in the suitcase.

Swimwear and check shorts!! Spent over 50 quid on swimming stuff from debenhams, skint!!

Wedges!!

Other swimwear.

Pretty things

Went shopping today and spent a stupid amount of money some of which went on these little guys. How cute are they !! Especially love the mini binoculars and the robot reminds me of the marina song.

3oh3 soon!!!

Pineapple Upside down cake

This was a request from one of the girls at work after i took a sponge cake in a couple of months ago. Was really easy to make and rather quick as well. Came out looking rather nice if i do say so myself. Flipping it out of the tin was a nervous moment cause i didn't know what it would look like.

Recipe Link - http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5562/pineapple-upsidedown-cake

Had a request for cottage pie now, trying to think of a clever way to make it look like cottage pie but for it to actually be a cake.

Mars Bar Cake

Such an easy thing to make but im told it tastes lovely, i dont like it though, think its too sweet.

Summer

So glad im going away over the summer.

It sounds really bad to say i cant wait too get away but im just so bored atm. Work have axed everyones shifts so im only there like two days a week. Ive been going to the gym and stuff but ive got really stiff joints atm cause i think ive overdone it and dont want to do any permanent damage so cant do that. Shopping gets really boring really quickly and since I'm getting like no shifts its not exactly a viable option. Everyone else is either up to their eyes in college work or studying like mad exams which i totally understand but it makes me kinda hermitty. Even when college and uni is finished for other people chances are they're gonna try pick up extra hours at work and the like so doubt socialness will happen.

(Confidence) Dear Ladies of the Nation,

Love your faces, and stuff

This is me right now

Rugrats the Movie

There was a long and strange chain of events that got me to thinking about this film. I remember seeing it when i was younger and then again when i was a little bit older and it still touches me when i see how the story progresses and when dil shares tommys blanket, Aww.

Billboard Hot 100 - Top 50 Singles (5/21/2011)

A nod to doctor who.

24 hours in A and E

Taped this last week and been meaning to watch it for ages. Sitting watching the introduction and welling up already.

I got ham but im not a hamster

How cute are these wee guys ?! I might be talked into getting something small and cute and fluffy when i come back from france.

Chinchilla Films - A Chinchilla's First Love

Im a p-p-p-p-p-p-p=platypus

Awwwwww

Eurovision

Totally gutted i missed the eurovision last night so heres my little blog about what i thought since i missed out on the twitter madness.

Love the look of the little films they're playing in between the acts but the hosts could not be more annoying if they tried.

Finland - Looks a bit like Patrick Kielty, very mellow song

Bosnia & Herzegovina - She does not look like shes playing that piano. Really random looking group of people wandering round a stage. Prancing man with a hat looks like a fall out boy reject.

Denmark - Get a hair cut, that's Jedwards look! He has leather trousers on.... Not too bad as a band though. Who ever dressed the lead deserves a talking to thou as he would look alot better in something that's not a turtle neck. Look at him go.

Lithuania - Very musical theatrey.

Hungary - Subtitles would be useful so i know if i cant understand her cause shes mumbling or if shes speaking Hungarian. Ahh glowing crotch!

Ireland (JEDWARD!!) - Bet they didnt think theyd end up here when they did xfactor all that time ago. Theyre almost in time, im impressed. I wonder what theyre hair would look like in an emo fringe style.....Ah so thats what they look like....

Sweden - Looked a wee bit hot there. Correction, lot bit hot. Not too bad a song and nice choreography. One minute hes wasn't in front of the dancers and i blinked and he was, how fast did he move!

Estonia - Is she wearing curtains...... One of the backing dancers looks alot like a guy i go to uni with, rather odd

Greece - Speaking "rapper" person bit mince but singing guy alot less mince. He looks like someone on telly but i just cant place him.

Russia - Rather good dancing, shame its a singing contest

The little video with all the padlocks on the fence is so cool looking.

France - Got to love france for the fact that they always stick to their guns and sing in French. Like how hes all poshly dressed then looks like he hasnt brushed his hair. Thanks Graham Norton, for making me realise i cant even recognise the language they're speaking in.

Italy - Bit jazzy, not really memorable

Switzerland - Bubbles!!! One of those songs that probably sounds better recorded so u can hear what shes saying but you can get the jist that its good. Cheesy grin on the bass player lets you know hes chuffed to bits with himself. If i was him id be worried my girlfriends singing about being "in love for a while".

Britain - What are they wearing. Its like footman meets military. Oh, Oh, Oh, i know this one the green smoke is symbolic right.? That we smell? English teacher would be proud. In all fairness though they weren't all that bad.

Moldova - Poor Moldova, all the other countries have like stock brokers and rowers and what do Moldova get, a window cleaner. GNOMES!!!! Who ever came up with this has been snorting something. "did they lose a bet, does one of them own an unsuccessful hat shop" - Graham Norton is amazing. Moldova is the wagner of the Eurovision.

Germany - This reminds me on Ellie Goulding. Asides from sounding a bit rapey i actually rather like this song and she is stunning. Not a fan of the backing dancers though.

Romania - Is it not cheating to have a UK person representing them ? Show me the drummer again!! There is no god, i want to see the drummer =[

Austria - Looks way older than 20. Belter of a voice on her when she gets going though.

Azerbaijan - Not a fan of this is a bit dull and repetitive. She actually went cross eyed at one point.

Slovenia - Agree with Graham Norton - very Christiniaish. Not a bad song but not amazing either. Very xena warrior princess outfit.

Iceland - Love the little tune. Actually a lovely little tune, really enjoying this.

Spain - The dancing is like a zumba routine. I dont see this doing well. Id love it if the audience went all Britains got talent style and started shouting "off, off, off, off!"

Ukraine - A sand artist won Ukraines got talent... No one cares about the singer show me the sand!! Her outfit is mental but i actually really like it, really suits her.

Serbia - look like a 60s throw back. Shes a good singer but i dont really like the song.

Georgia - Bargain basement Halloween costumes. There's something a bit off about this, like her voice and the music, not enough power or volume or something, there's just something not right.

That's everyone played. Now for the votes.

Fishes

Went and got my feet nibbled by fish yesterday and i was one of the oddest feelings. If you don't think of it as being fish it was lovely, like having your feet in a foot spa with bubbles. I seemed to get the tank with the sharks in it though, and i have a chunk out the side of one of my toes, I'm on to you fish =p

Uni Notes

Bought a massive box in which to shut all my uni notes/textbooks in for the duration of the summer.

Unfortunately being the slightly OCD orgasational person i am even though these notes will probably never be looked at again they had to be sorted out into at least the different subjects.

So i sat and ripped pieces of paper out of notebooks all afternoon. There were some notes i would quiet happily ripped up the middle of *cough* Bus tech *cough* but i filed them for alas i did not know of my exemption status at this time.

Which brings us neatly onto the little thing of the day :

Unfortunately one of the notebooks had its pre-punched holes too close together for the ring binders, last time i buy cheap stationary.

Me Day

Tomorrow i am told it is due to rain, lots. For this reason i have full intention of having a me day.

I am going to lie on the sofa or in mt bed and watch stupid amounts of bad TV

- Britain's got talent
- Eurovision song contest possibly including the votes.
- Dr Who
- Graham Norton

Additionally i am probably not going to get dressed for a long time and if i do it will probably be into joggy bottoms cause they are the clothes of god and a stupidly baggy t-shirt. It shall be a wonderful day of R & R.

Park 2.

Going to the park tomorrow to see the deer that probably arent there anymore and run around in the rain that will probably happen like a total spanner, oh i love being a grown up =p

Zumba 2.

So proud of myself. Got up this morning and, once dad had gone out to save major embarrassement, i zumba'd my wee heart out for a good half an hour. I refuse to sit around all day on the laptop. Feel well out of puff now but a lot fitter. Gonna try do it again tomorrow, wish me luck =p

Monday 9 May 2011

Zumba

I'm converted. I rather enjoy zumba. Got a wee play list on Youtube for it that i have full intention of getting up and doing tomorrow, id do it at the moment if i didn't think me jumping up and down would wake the whole house up. Determined i'm going to be healthier and spend less time sitting on my bum.

Little Things

I love the sounds of the night outside. When i was working in France there was a strange but pleasant silence used to come over the site at night where the sounds of screaming children were replaced by the sounds of nature. Nocturnal creatures like bats would swoop almost silently through the trees, animals would scurry from the under growth before splashing into the river. The running taps and sounds of teeth brushing would escape from the toilet blocks. People would sit outside their tents with a glass of wine and some candles to ward of the bugs and relax in each others company. A friendly but tired sounding "goodnight" would be uttered to passers by and the odd holiday rep. The sight was sighing collectively at the end of a long day, yawning in anticipation of the bed that awaited them, the sounds of crickets and the man snoring on pitch 372, echoing across the site.
The sky was looking all dramatic as the rain clouds were moving in. Didn't really so it justice in the photos.
