Book case all organised!

So i took all the books i own and stacked them all over my bedroom floor. Spent a bit of time sorting them into series and authors, evicted some to another bookcase and stuck post-its to the spines of the ones i haven't read yet.

Then put them all back again, all nice and neat like. The amount of orange post-its are really overwelming. Think there's nearly 40 of them there so I'm going to be busy. Want to get a good chunk of them read by Christmas so i don't feel bad about buying more for Christmas.

Productive or not?

In a bid to avoid doing coursework today and to make my room look a little neater i decided to clean up the back bedroom so that i could move some of my books out of my room.

Better?

I was very very bored one day

Luvage

I really really like this. If i had a bit of wall with space on it i would love to do this.If i wanted this i would need to clear off some of my mad collage wall, which is just a rather sad prospect.

I want to hear back from them so badly!!

Eaten by a bear

Book Organisation

Have soooo many books there now on nearly every flat surface in my room so going to need to do some organization - Its better than uni work at least.

Kina!!!

umm yeah

Possibly the most useful thing that this text book will do all year.

Lemon Drizzle Cake

Made this not long ago for the guys at work, not a fan of lemon myself but they seemed to like it.

Last book Haul

The books i vlogged about recently. Read 3 of them at the moment i think but there's going to be another vlog soon cause i bought some new books - succumbed to the temptress that is amazon.

Baking day

A very old picture from when me and Scott had a little baking day. This is an example of when baking goes well rather than the disaster that was the cherry cooks that stuck to the greaseproff and refused to part company. Really really craving one of these at the moment.

Books, again, sorry

Well a truely ran out of space on my book shelf so stuff is starting to spreed to my floating shelf thingys. Dont actually think this is a good idea as i dont think they can hold that much weight but my collection is expanding!

5 of my new books, got another 4 coming in the post - amazon really is my addiction. Just finished book 6 of my challenge and onto book 7.

Officially a student i own an ugly hat

Fail Day

Today was a bit of fail. Had such grand plans for my day which was basically do a tonne of uni work and well i haven't.
On the upside i bought a new book in Tesco that was cheaper than it was on Amazon and I got my, very uncreative, halloween costume.

Now having a bit of a geek out moment watching Frozen Planet.

Well not buying books didnt last

Bought seven books from amazon for tonight. Gonna try and keep them in the envelops and only open each one as i need a book to read so its sort of a pot luck affair. Just need to finish reading all the ones i own first.

Not long now!!

heaven ?

If i keep buying books a my current rate my room is going to end up looking a little like this.....

The pig now lives on the floor for the time being because the top of my chest of drawers is going to be needed for books. Need to think of a cool way to store books - cant stand the thought of shoving them in a book under my bed

Uni has started up and im really enjoying getting back into the swing of things and works been really good. Mega event this weekend so ill be busy earning pennies. I really ought to do some actual work but i really dont know where to start. In terms of studying and things i dont have a clue cause i didnt do exams last year.
And finished book 4 of my 50 book challenge.

Third Book Down

Three books into my 50 book challenge which isn't too shabby considering Ive got work and uni as well. So i thought today i might explain today why i love reading.

Reading is an escape - You can be having the worst day on the planet, feeling crappy as hell, pick up a book and within seconds you can be submerged in plot and forgetting what ever happened that made your day so bad in the first place.

Its like an old friend - Re reading books from the past is like reliving a memory. The book wont have changed, only you as a reader. There have been books that on the first reading i didnt really enjoy that much but on re-reading Ive fallen in love. They are there on shelves to dip into when ever you want to.

Its your own little world - Very few people will talk to you when your reading a book if you want to be left alone. I get sucked into the book and my screen saver face must say something along the lines of "interrupt me and die!"

They let you connect with people - In a day and age where the world is online people can connect in a way like never before. I can be reading a book and have a conversation with someone on the other side of the world about the book and they can recommend more.

They let you imagine - Nothing will ever look 100% the same in your minds eye as it looks in another persons. No matter how much detail the author goes into there will still be differences that make the book your own.

Plus there's the books themselves - If you can think of a better place on earth than a library i'd like to hear it.

I tried but it got me...

Tried really really really hard not to but i caved and bought some new books on amazon. Only got three though which for me isn't too bad. Loads of sellers are now based in the states though which is a bit of a pain cause they are cheaper but you need to wait longer for stuff to arrive which for me isn't the best. So bought three books that are all sort of lovey dovey but have other themes running through them. Going to go with the same plan that i have been once i have them which is basically not to read the backs of them before i decide which one to read so its a surprise what happens in the plot when i start to read them.

Really am going to have to try and find some more storage for my books cause my poor wee bookcase is getting sort of full. Would really like to have more of my books on display aswell so trying to think of a creative way to do that.

Got my last foreign language film through in the post today as well so will need to find time to sit down and watch that within the next few days although i get the feeling that im going to be fairly busy with work for the next few weeks.

Having amazon withdrawl

Since I'm trying not to buy more books till Ive read the ones i already own I'm having major withdrawl symptoms. Been on goodreads and the like looking at recommendations so now have a rather large list of stuff i want to get once I've made my way through some of the ones i have.
