Amzon you got me again
Billboard Hot 100 - Top 50 Singles (3/5/2011)
A fairly good US chart this week, big variety and it makes me smile that Jessie J is the recommended artist. Where did Nicki Minaj come from though a few month ago no one had heard of her and now shes everywhere Chuffed Cee Lo is back up in the top ten after dropping out a couple of weeks ago and Mumford and sons are in it twice, guess they appeared on a US show. Good wee mix of summery sounding tunes =]

The sun'ill come out tomorrow
Sometimes people doodle when they're bored, Little pictures up and down margins or proudly scrawled across the corners of notes but when i get bored i write blogs. I love handwriting things. Uni notes are about the only thing i write these days, not really a fan of sitting with a laptop out to "take notes" in lectures cause ultimately i get distracted and zone out.
Anyway on Friday i had an hour gap and was going to read a journal article for HTM and i finished it in like 10 minutes cause it wasn't as long as i thought it was going to be so i sat and hand wrote a blog. (Suppose it's like a diary really)
"I love the sence of euphoria that drifts across campus when the sun comes out. Maybe getting up for the train isn't as bad when it's light outside. Maybe the buildings don't look as oppressive. Coursework doesn't seem as bad wither even though everything has officially been issued.
You hear people laughing and joking more around campus and you enjoy the stroll between buildings for different lectures when you're not trailing an inside out umbrella and doubled over against the wind.
Maybe the sun is the light at the end of the metaphorical tunnel."
Wish i had my camera on me so i could take a picture of the sunshine so i can remember what it looks like but hey ho

Mood
In a really strange mood i want to :
Clean my room
Read a book
Do uni work
Watch a DVD
Listen to music
Sleep
All at the same time, this has lead me to be less than productive =[

Ever just have days where nothing really amazing happens but you just have a good day?
Lots of little things make you smile.
Today I :
Survived my first three lectures
Heard a quote from a lecturer about Gorilla toast
Received emails from the a fore mentioned lecturer entitled "I haven't been cloned" and "who will i murder"
I found a piece of writing i can use for my homework for HR
After briefly thinking she was hallucinating saw the rabbits my friend was shouting about outside the library (they were really cute)
Enjoyed the sunshine
Went a very short drive enjoying the sound of Imelda May
Get a brief long lie tomorrow
Passed my MDP test.
Nothing amazing but a lovely little day none the less.
Harry Potter

I need to take them off the shelf, dust them off and read them. If ever there's a series of books that smell like books this is it. I have some adult copies and some kids, some hardback and some paper. They don't match and normally this would annoy me but with these for some reason it doesnt. Maybe because i collected them over time.
The first one came out when i was ninish i think and my mum read it to me at night followed by book two and three. By the time book four came out i was reading them myself and a waiting list for the books in my family was beginning to form.
I love how they connected a nation. They didnt cause controversy like "Twilight" - if anyone compares this to Harry Potter i will smack them in the face with a copy of Order of the Phoneix. Every basket in the shop would have a copy of the newest book on its release date. The plot was a well kept secret, no one would discuss it with anyone else until they were sure theyd already read the book so as not to spoil it. Such a thing will surely never be experienced again. And to think it started in a coffee shop, hand written on a rainy day and grew into the phenomenon it was is quite simply amazing.
Ahh Tesco and Asda

Teeny Tiny Tubs
And to capo it all off
So here are some pictures of the guitar i was talking about:
When i had everything just laid on before i glued it down or cut round the edge

Once it was all glued down and trimmed:

Once i found a very sharp craft knife and cut round the hole under the strings which was not an easy thing to do:

Glad i saved it from getting thrown in the tip

No strings attached
So came in from uni today and didnt really feel in the mood for the modest amount of coursework i have so decided to decoupage the guitar i blogged about yesterday.

Amazing
Maybe its cause its late and im tired but i feel all mooshy inside so i thought id take a bit of time and share the things i wish i said more.
University
Yup i moan about the amount of coursework, the early mornings and some of the pointless lectures but i am really lucky to be here. Ive meet some amazing people that i get on with really well. To begin with i felt like an outsider, like i couldnt relate to other people but now im really enjoying it. I will still get stress and still be like OMFG i hate uni but its only cause im stressing about coursework. Some of the lecturers are absolutely mental and its amazing some of the rubbish they come out with. And some of the random banter makes me smile something awful. I will be stressed for the next month cause im pretty sure the coursework we're about to get hurled at us will take no prisoners but never mind hopefully ill come out the other side alive.
Friends
Not to brag but i have some amazing friends both new and old. The ones who have been there since primary - that's like ten years people, the ones i met at secondary, the random ones who showed up and never really left again and the new ones from uni. You guys are amazing. There's always someone there to help me when i cant help myself. Helping my dry a pair of suede boots with a hairdryer when i "feel through a puddle", writing me letters in France, pub quizes, 18th, school trips and shopping. You guys have been there through thick and thin and if i hadn't had the bad times i wouldnt appreciate the good.
Family
My family is really small and rather spread out but i wouldn't have it any other way. We don't always get on but then again no one ever does. They support me in all that i do and I'm truly lucky to have parents that let me make my own choices, never forcing me down a path i didn't choose for myself. They let me make my own mistakes but are always there to help me pick up the pieces and for that i am eternally grateful.
Work
Sounds like a really sad thing to put in here but i love my job. I love how i have to think on my feet and how i learn something new almost every time I'm in. I love that we almost always all get along as well it makes such a difference and every shift is a giggle. I love staff meetings and the road trips to the beach that seem to have become a tradition. I love that they introduced me to the wonder that is KFC. I love how many stupid things we've done - the Marymass parade was really good =]
To the people of the past
Just because we don't talk anymore doesn;t mean i don;t want to. I miss the banter sometimes. Some of you though are in the past for a reason. I don't resent you though because without you being the people you were i wouldn't be the person i am now or appreciate what i have. I might not have passed my art exam had my piece not gone "missing" so thank you
To the people in my future
You guys are amazing and theres a reason you've made it this far. You are clearly as crazy as i am to still be here and i hope you're here for a long time to come.
You
Simply for being yourself you make me smile. You deserve to be told everyday just how awesome you are. <3

Kindle?
Ive been toying with the idea of getting a kindle for a while now and i just cant decide if i want to get one or not.

Obviously for going abroad or what ever it would be really useful cause i could download loads of books on it before i go so it weighs alot less than taking physical books but i love actual books so i dont know if id use it when i come back.
I love the look of loads of books sitting together on a shelf in nice neat lines. The cover art being on display and the feel of turning pages. I just dont know. I put it off before because of the price of ebooks but the price has fallen quiet alot now and theres even exclusive content just for kindles and other ebook readers. What do you think?
My books are invading my window ledge, ran out of space on my bookshelf

Productivity
I have had the most productive day ever today, i wrote a list and by gum i powered through it:

Clean/hoover room
Clean/hoover bathroom
Buy a new small notebook for uni (very long trip to Tesco's)
Find tutorial question for HR
Find tutorial material for HTM - watched the video and everything
Go and get door handle for car - they ordered the wrong colour =[
Go and get tax back
Return library book
Go to bank
Return library book
Ok so not the most impressively interesting day but feel like i've achieved something.
And i bought a nice new whiteboard (non PC?) and made it all day planner (Tesco wanted 10 quid for one with this already written on it or 3.50 for one without so i just wrote the lines and days on with permanent marker)

Ive learned my lesson
Ok that is the last time i let a uni essay be left so long.
Was up till 12 last night trying to finish and reference an essay which doesn't sound like that late until you realise that in the space of two days i spent like 15 hours working on it.
Never, ever again...
On the plus side passed my bus. tech. test, woooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
