Walking into a lecture and not seeing anyone you know is terrifying. Wondering where you should sit, if you should sit next to someone or if theyre saving a seat for someone else. The from across the sea of heads you see someone you know waving and looking at you in that knowing kind of way that says "this seat is for you"

Saturday night fever

If you ignore the really really early start and slight lack of sleep ive had a really good day. Early morning staff meeting wasnt too bad and tried the new stuffed crust pizza. Food really has been the theme of the day today. Went to KFC and got chicken strip thingys (always call them the wrong thing). Went to the beach which although it was irvine which is a tad nasty and unclean and made me itch, was actually rather fun. We dug a hole in the side of the sand dune. Relocated to the beach park and ran up and down hills like a spanner. Watched G chase a little jack russel puppy (all you could see was the tail above the grass). Had a good wee shift at work and now sitting in the house watching Britains got talent and finding new parts of me that got a little bit pinkened (its a word) from the sun.

Books

I have rather alot of books that ive not yet read which makes me kind of sad. i think the issue is partly that id rather reread a book that i know is good then take a risk on a new one which might not be. Therefore my aim is to read at least half of the books ive not read yet before i go to france. This should work in nicely with my other aim which is to spend less time sitting on the computer. I feel like i spend too long on facebook and the like. Nothing all that interresting happens on it. I dont understand why i feel like i need to monitor it constantly to be in the know. If something important happens then ill find out about it other ways. Therefore in the near future i am going to try and give up facebook for a week and see what happens. I shall blog about it as i go probably and see how much more productive when i dont feel shackled to my computer. Might even go further than facebook and just say online in general. Limit myself to two hours a day online or something. I dont know ill see how it is nearer the time. I better get used to the idea anyway cause im probably not going to have much internet for the couple of months im in France. Maybe it wont be so bad though cause i wont feel like if i hadnt checked facebook id have been at an event cause regardless of what is happening here im still in France. But ill upload a pretty picture of the books i havent read and shut up cause now im rambling. Sorry.

Why i blog

I blog rather a lot encase people hadn't noticed. Today i started to wonder why. Its not like my blog is read by millions or shapes the way that people do things. Its not themed its all just a bit random.

Then it hit me.

I blog for me.

The fact other people see it is a by-product.

I blog as a diary which says nothing yet everything at the same time. I see a picture and it stirs a memory. I see a post and i remember that day. It brings a smile to my face when i read my older posts. No one knows me better than me and when i send my thoughts into cyberspace in my blog and then rediscover them at a later date it can be like something written by a stranger who i can identify with.

Back when cinema tickets were green. went to the cinema today and was a tad gutted not to get a proper ticket.

I know its Robert Pattinson but i really want to see this but i doubt the local cinema will show it cause its a little rubbishy. Hardly ever go to the cinema anymore although have been like twice in the last week. Its a nice we social night out.

Went to see this in the cinema today and i actually really enjoyed it. Would have quite happily turned round and gone back into see it again as soon as it finished. It was on the whole really well acted asides from a couple of really cringe worthy bits. I thought it was really sweet and awwish. Dont think K liked it as much as me though. Ill need to read the book now.

Shelf

Painting with this stuff is how i imagine painting with tipex would be. It stinks to the high heavens. It actually says on the tin it helps erode the atmosphere and ive been inhaling it for 45 minutes, that doesn't seem healthy.

The carrot man

When i was in tesco at like 10 at night there was a man infront of me at the checkout and his entire trolley was full to the top with discounted bags of carrots. Never in my life have i wanted to break the "dont talk to strangers" rule more and ask him if he owns loads of rabbits, or a donkey sanctuary or if hes just planning on living on carrot soup for the rest of his days.

I have studied like mad and have now reached the conclusion that if tomorrow doesnt go well then it doesnt go well. I might get hit with an absolutely crap set of questions in which case i might fail but unless the questions are utterly horrific i should be ok. Wish me luck =]

Summer '11

This is where i want to end up this Summer for working. So excited about going out though i really dont care where i end up this year. Somewhere in the north of France would be good as i dont know how we'll i'd cope with the heat further south. Not long now thou think its about ten weeks. And got a cheeky wee holiday in Gran Canaria between now and then aswell. This summer is shaping up to be a good one. So excited =]

My last fm

Last three months Ive obviously been feeling the girl power on my spotify. So sad spotify isn't going to be installed on my computer for much longer. Ten hours a month is not enough and only five listens of each song, youtube will be getting used more frequently again.

Things that make today better than yesterday

• Thought i had another slide show to revise and it turned out it was a set of revision notes. SCORE!!
• I actually did something vaguely productive this morning unlike yesterday where i spend the majority of my day watching a four hour long biblical epic (i dont know why which is the worrying part)
• It sunny and i have summary tunes on my TV
• After tomorrow im pretty much finished uni
  
• Feeling confident about this test - code for " i know enough that i can hopefully waffle my way through it"
• Feeling alot more human than i was yesterday
• Had a guilty long lie.

I do not have kids. I do not want kids. Kids are fine as long as they are someone elses and you can hand them bk if they cry but the clothes are so cute. We used to gather round the delivery in Adams when i worked there and go Awwwww at how small the baby shoes were.

Sense of achievement from lighting all four candles with one match, usually takes me at least three.

I'm going to make scones on the day of the royal wedding. Feeling all British for once rather than just Scottish.

Cant decide whether to watch In Bruges or The Notebook. Not much difference really.

I'm sadly excited about the Royal Wedding. Its such a national occasion that will be a day in history. The marriage of possibly our future king and queen. I want bunting......

At some point yesterday while ripping my room to bits i have evidently cracked my shin off something giving myself a massive bruise. The same bruise i just cracked off the ladder in my bathroom to which i said, ouch!

Weather!

I actually love the weather the way it is tonight. All close in and slightly rainy and even thou its dark its still warm and damp. It reminds me of being in France. The weather was always like this, especially at night. Feels all reminiscent.

One of the lovely selection boxes i got for my birthday. Took me ages to find the little key thingy that tells me which chocolate is which. They were awfully yummy once i found out what each one was.

When i go out for a meal i am usually starving by the time i've ordered and there's something amazing about seeing a waiter or waitress striding towards you with a tray held high and that look about them that say, yip this ones yours, the thing you've been waiting for.
