It wont let me rotate but this is totally the way to utalise an old laptop, balance a box ontop of it and call it a table.
Spoiled for choice as to what to read next, honestly havent a clue!!

Riots

Watching the best of the one show, yeah i know I'm an old woman but they have footage from the English riots. I didnt know how bad it was cause I was in France at the time. The thing that really got me was when they interviewed people whos whole lives had been torn apart by the riots. People mindlessly stealing everthing they can get their hands on, destroying peoples livlyhoods. So yeah i might be tearing up a little bit.

Christmas 2011 Book Haul

I hate how he talks to everyone like he knows how everything works!!

Paper Cranes

My little collection of paper cranes on strings. Need to make another couple of strings of them I think so i can fill the blank space.

Christmas Books

Christmas books i got from the parents. I choose all the fiction ones but i think theyre hinting they want me to cook more the amound of recipe books i got off of them. Think it adds up to at least 500 new recipes.

Uploading and the Rain

It has done nothing all day but rain. It actually hasn't stopped since I got up this morning. Woke up and watched an hours worth of Ghost Hunters and got my bum outta bed at 12 and fell into the shower. Went to the post office and sent my textbook to amazon and bought rolls and slice for Lunch (at 3 o'clock).

Got all my amazon stuff today aswell which pretty much made my day. Did a vlog of what i got which will be posted on here if it ever gets uploaded on youtube. Got a couple of pictures of what i bought aswell which will be uploaded eventually.

Did a wee bit of revision as well, sorta, kinda, half heartedly. I just can concentrate on it.
Perhaps that has something to do with the fact i stayed up till half 3 last night finishing my book. Just as well i have a load more.

Incase you couldnt tell

This is me when i write essays. My head just goes AHHHH eventually and i start to mutate the question to fit the answer im writing.

Spotify, sales and shopping

Had a fairly unproductive day today considering i didnt get out of bed till nearly one o'clock. My plan at the moment is to set my alarm for 10 tomorrow so  I have to get up and do something with my day. Current plan is to make a plan tomorrow regarding revision for uni. Its hard planning to revise though cause theres no set amount that you have to do. Need to track down some marketing past papers aswell.

I was semi productive today though once i got out of bed. I went shopping! And bought pretty much nothing. Couldnt find any books i wanted or any clothes. The sales are really rubbish this year. Was going yo buy wuthering height until I read the little gold circle on the front that said "Edward and Bella's favourite book". Im ashamed of my generation.

Cleaned out the pig and let him have a charge around on the floor. You dont expensive toys to keep him happy just some rustly paper and hes sorted.

Downloaded spotify aswell for the new laptop. The next step is to have a major clear out of the old laptop and move all the important files i might need over from one to the other. Hopefully this one has a half decent webcam and mic for the purposes of vlogging, need to update my youtube something terrible.

And worked for a wee bit where i was gifted a packet of fruit pastels and did pretty much nothing all that productive.

Want my amazon stuff!

28/12/2011

Just a quick blog before i go to bed.

Went to see my cousins today since theyre down from up north which was fair uneventful in itself but i got to drive for like 15 minutes along country roads blasting Frank Turner which put me in a really good mood and i got more than two words out of the counsin who usually wont speak to me, moody teenage boy that he is.
Had a good wee shift at work which took me up to 12 and a half hours so far this week. Got another 3 shifts to go one of which is a close, even if it is on new years eve so should hit at least 30 hours which will do my bank balance some good.
Sold my 1st year geography book on amazon for 30 quid which isnt bad considering nowhere else would take it so that will cover my next amazon splurge.
Played along with big fat quiz of the year and my team (Me and Scott) won, woooo!!
Got my grade back for my Ikea assignment, 63%, nearly a whole 10% above average so slightly less terrified than i was before about the exam.

Must study more though but i tried today and literally manage a grand total of one page.

Also really enjoying my incredably stupidly title book which will be book 13 or something like that in my 50 book challenge.

Boxing Day

On a day where you are pretty much suposed to be unproductive I have worked. Had a cracking long lie mind you but still. Going to meet the family tomorrow then, you guessed it, work. Got five shifts this week but also need to start trying to fit in revision cause in all honesty I am utterly terrified for these exams. I don't feel too bad for one but i have no idea what to revise for the other since a lot of it does seem like common sence. Mind maps shall be getting drawn, bought a massive shetch pad from the art store in Glasgow while it was on sale for that very reason.

Additionally i bought Evermore and Beastly (the DVD not the book, already own the book) on Amazon yesterday. Cant wait for the postman!!!

Amazoned

Amazon christmas gift voucher and some christmas money have been spent on amazon, Good times!

1) Hush, Hush - Its been one of those books your ment to have read recently and Ive been putting it off for ages because the synopsis didnt really appeal but today i relented and bought the blasted thing, heres hoping it is actually good and Ive not been mislead by the online reviews.
2) Matched - What if the person you were suposed to be with was picked out for you by someone else? Society decides who you marry, what you work as, how many kids you have and when you die. Book about a girl who decides this isnt how she wants to live her life. Part of a series so there will be more if i like it. Got a fairly pretty front cover to.
3) Dearly Departed - Zombie Romance. Pretty much had to buy it cause its supernaturally but not vampire, I want to see how they deal with this.
4) Love Story - Read another one of her books and it wasnt too bad although it took a while to get into and this one has really good reviews so thought it was worth a go.
5) The Summer I turned pretty - I think its a YA summer romance type book, nuff said really.
6) The Darkest Surrender - Lords of the Underworld book 8 i think, a rather good "adult series" that does actually have plot and a fairly interresting one at that.
7) Vampire Mine - Another book in a series I've just recently rediscovered, they mostly have stupid names but the content isnt half bad, not a masterpiece but a fairly good book.
8) Return to Paradise - A sequal to a book Ive read already by an author who wrote my favourite book of all time. Ill need to re-read the first book before i read this one again.
9) Paper Towns - Another John Green book, got his newest one pre-ordered cause it's signed but thats a different matter, havent actually read the synopsis but i liked Looking for Alaska and Ive heard nothing but good things about this book. Still need to buy An Abundance of Catherines and Will Greyson, Will Greyson but I'll wait till the price comes down a bit.
10) Shade - Girl who can see ghosts boyfriend dies so she can still see her recently deceased bf. But then another guy comes on the scene. Who will she choose?
11) Winter Longing - YA romance type thing involving three friends and some death i think. Again heard good things about it so Ill see when i get it.

WANT

Sooo many books!!

Need my christmas money first though

2012

I have a list of things i intent to do when it turns 2012 thus far it includes - my news year resolution, using a bookmark calender and starting a 365 day blogging challenge. Still gonna be doing my 50 book challange as well of coure. Looking forward to after xmas so i can buy more books that i totally dont need but will buy anyway - yay!!

Feel free to browse my book collection/ 50 book challenge progress: www.goodreads.com/icequeen20000

I love how where ever there is a large amount of books there is a lack of sound. Its like people are giving them there whole and undivided attension. Even in bookshops people tend to be quiet. If you talk loadly in a bookshop i think slightly less of you. Just saying.

My day

My day has been incrediable boring because i feel really reather ill. My insides just hurt theres no specific place just it hurts. I feel like i have to stitch without moving both in my lower abdonmen and behind my ribs. So Ive had a fairly unproductive day with little spells of productiveness in between when i dont feel like someone inside of me is going to burst.

I watched most haunted and Ghost Hunters International. Most haunted has sort of lost is appeal because it never really shows you anything, its mostly tapping and the like so the skeptic in me is disinclined to belief it. GHI however was really interresting. They were investing an old prison in Tazmania which then got me googling the history of the place, hauntings, experiences people had had then wiki-ing all about the mass murder that happened there i think in 1996. Americas next top model sort of brings down the tone of what i was watching so lets not mention that in must detail. I watched it, thats all you need to know.

Made scones cause i was craving them since like the royal wedding - perhaps they're the source of the sore insides, who knows. Had them with jam and lurpak, on seperate slices of course cause mixing them is just plain weird.

Watched nightmare before Christmas all the way through for the first time ever and was somewhat underwhelmed by it. Followed that by something else that im struggling to remember which is not a good sign. HOT FUZZ. Which if you dont know what it is sounds like some horrible STD.

Cleaned my room, exercised the pig, cleaned out the pig, put the pig back, hoovered my room.

Updated my goodreads account to include all my books plus added a shelf for my 50 book challenge.

Watched a stupid amount of vlog brothers videos and browsed the web for challenges to do in future blogs.

Boiled the kettle and set the table for dinner. And that gets us to where i am now, sitting on the couch feeling like my insides are being mauled waiting for the rents to come home with a chippy that I'm pretty certain I'm now not going to be able to eat =[

Well done if you got this far cause that im sure was a very boring post, littered with spelling mistakes and typos.

This is what happens when i get bored with a pair of crimpers.

Littlest peace crane i ever made. You can see the rest of them hanging on the wall near the curtain.

Roast Dinner

Had a day in the house last week and im an attempt to avoid doing coursework i decided to attempt a roast dinner and I am very very proud at how well it turned out - the pictures dont do it justice, and i didnt posion anyone.
Finish coursework, instanly start fottering with little cubes in a grid. Productive.

Book case tour (redone)

Forth coming week and a bit of last week

So life atm is getting a bit more in order. Finished all my coursework except one essay which is due at the end of next week that Ive not done yet, i have loads of essay plans but no idea how to lay it out. Feeling a lot more relaxed now that the majority of it is done though.

Got my application finished as well, glory be!! It took a very long time because mostly it was geared up for the job i was appplying for but Im hoping Ive done well enough to get moved onto the next part of the selection process - how im ment to compete with sky diving though i dont know.

Got christmas pretty wrapped up, literally, apart from my secret santa present.

Gonna work my bum off at work once uni stuff is out the way.

Went to see Frank Turner (he may get a seperate blog to emphasis his awesomeness) and OMG he was actually amazing!!!

The world could turn black and white and you wouldnt see a difference

Life right now!!!

Saturday 26 November 2011

Omg best gig ever!!!

Im deaf and hoarse but i have Frank on full blast today and I'm loving life. Knew it was gonna be a good one.

Thursday 24 November 2011

Application done!!!

Picking a new book

Finished my last book last night and trying to decide which to read next and Im spoiled for choice now. Thinking i want some gushy girl romantic rubbish but its hard trying to decide which book will actually be good and what might just be rubbish. Dont know what to do, confusion!!

Looking for Alaska at My High School

Tuesday 22 November 2011

Lock at it.

Love the Harry Potter book right in the middle of the shelf

Book store

So new goal is to find some really cool bookshops. Amazon is good for modern paperbacks and mass market stuff but i want to see what else is out there. So far ive found three places i would love to go:
Inverness - Leakeys

BOOKGASM!!!!
Words can not describe how jealous i am that my mum has been here i just wanna see it so bad. Id actually be dangerous if you put me in a place like that with money. Its like something out of hogwarts. The only way they could improve it is with some fairy lights.

The Book Shop in Wigtown
Wigtown is Scotlands town of books, they have over 20 book based shops and its tiny. The book shop is Scotland second largest second hand book shop. Its nearly an hour and a half in the car but the town looks very pretty to so it might be worth a visit in the Summer or perhaps a really gadsy weather day so I can hide out all day inside

The Oxfam Book shop in Merchant city
Thought i might start a little closer to home in my book search and since i apparently walk past this everyday I should really go into it and see what books are on offer. Plus its for a good cause.

Monday 21 November 2011

Books

Soooo many books still to read. Keep finding books that are in series i own already that are released on amazon but i read the series so long ago i cant remember what actually happened in them just that i liked them. Over christmas aswell as revision im going to need to go on a major reading rampage to get through a big chunk of books. Probably going to buy more books aswell with any money that i get for christmas so i really need to get my bum in gear and read loads to get back up to date before i buy more. Although i did buy one today but ONLY cause its christmas theme'd so that'll get me in the mood for crimbo.

Light at the end of the tunnel

Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this uni work. Got a bit of an essay plan knocked together for my Ikea essay which has been worrying me the most of my remaining coursework so to finally have a plan is awesome. Although saying that i dont know if its right but im kinda at a screw it stage. Theres no exemptions up for grabs this year grades in coursework arent as important to me as they were last year. Thats not to say i dont want to do well cause I do but i need more structure than what the questions given me.

In more, or less, interresting news, depending on your view point i have half a box full of peace cranes sitting on my desk and some more on a string so my secret craft project is definetly starting to get there.

Chirstmas shopping is nearly done except for little bits and pieces and my secret santa. Dont know who i have yet for it though so cant start till then. Looking forward to giving out my christmas cards this year to cause they have a little extra with them.

Frank Turner on Friday!!!!

Im in uni for a grand total of 3 hours this week aswell so that should give me enough time during the week to try and get most of my coursework finished then all I have left for uni this year is a stupid group essay for week 12 for MDP and revision for my exams in January which doesnt feel as far away as it ought to.

Really enjoying the book Im reading atm to.

People like this still exist ?

He's never bought anything off amazon. AMAZON. Ever, never used. Not bought things from the place. Amazon Virgin - This needs rectified!!!

Not Long

Christmas is coming and Im getting excited!!

Theres so many awesome things about christmas :

It gives you a wee boost to get you through the winter
You get to buy pretty wrapping paper and bows and stuff
Loads of comedy DVD's come out
The food - Omg the food, its the best meal you will eat all year
The friends - Nights out, glammed up
The family - All getting together and just chilling. Christmas makes me want to marry into a huge family since mine is all small.
The TV shows - Doctor who christmas special!!!!
Boxing Day - Lazy day of the year, although ill probably be working.

Day 2

So as far as productivity is concerned i think i did rather well today. The only thing i didnt do was my application form. Not too shabby

UK Official Chart - Top 50 Singles (11/19/11)

Day

I have three hours to be productive before work so the current plan looks like :

Clean room
Let pig out for a run
Do some work for my group htm presentation
Look at application form (this straight off probably isnt going to get done)
Tidy up after pig

WORK

Randon though - you know how they say in London you're never more than 6 feet from a rat? In my room you're never more than 6 feet away from a hair bobble.
“Intelligence is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting a tomato in a fruit salad.”

Books are the perfect entertainment: no commercials, no batteries, hours of enjoyment for each dollar spent. What I wonder is why everybody doesn’t carry a book around for those inevitable dead spots in life.
